Position: Retail Supervisor

Reports to: Store Manager

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $77,000 per annum+ Superannuation

Position Summary:

The Retail Supervisor oversees frontline retail operations and supervises sales staff to ensure efficient store performance and high-quality customer service. The role involves coordinating staff activities, maintaining stock levels, and supporting store management in achieving sales and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail sales assistants 
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members 
• Ensure high standards of customer service are consistently delivered 
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity 
• Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action
• Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards 
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional manner 
• Operate point-of-sale systems and assist with cash handling when required 
• Support implementation of store policies and procedures 
• Assist management with daily reporting and operational tasks 
• Ensuring that tobacco and gift products are correctly priced and displayed

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience in retail, preferably in a supervisory role 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to lead and motivate a team 
• Good organisational and problem-solving abilities 
• Customer-focused approach 

Qualifications:

• Certificate II or III in Retail (desirable) or Sufficient experience as a Retail Supervisor.
