We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Officer to lead employer engagement and pipeline development within the Australian skilled migration framework.

This is a full-time strategic B2B role focused on building long-term employer partnerships rather than short-term placements. The successful candidate will operate with autonomy, commercial accountability and direct access to executive leadership.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate:

  • Minimum 4–5 years of B2B sales experience within Australia
  • Proven experience engaging directly with SME business owners, directors or HR managers
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding monthly sales KPIs
  • High-level communication and presentation skills
  • Experience using CRM systems with disciplined pipeline management
  • Ability to work autonomously in a target-driven environment
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Current Victorian driver licence and willingness to attend employer meetings as required

 

Highly regarded (but not essential)

  • Experience in recruitment, labour hire, migration, or workforce solutions
  • Knowledge of employer-sponsored visa programs
  • Understanding of Australian sponsorship compliance frameworks

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage Australian employers across priority sectors experiencing skill shortages.
  • Build and manage a sustainable employer sponsorship pipeline.
  • Lead employer discussions from initial engagement through to signed partnership.
  • Collaborate internally to ensure commercially viable and compliant outcomes.
  • Maintain long-term employer relationships and identify repeat opportunities.
  • Contribute to market expansion initiatives and industry positioning.
  • Report on pipeline activity and performance outcomes.
